CD/DVD Release - September 20, 2011

You are invited to be our special guest at the CD/DVD Release Celebration for Elijah Bradford and Purpose Driven on Saturday, October 8th , 6pm, at Grace Cathedral Ministries (60 Oswego Road Sumter, S.C. 29150) where Anthony Gibson is the Senior Pastor.

The incomparable Elijah Bradford and Purpose Driven returns to the marketplace with their fourth album  Book of Remembrance... the Live Experience (Coffee House Productions.)  The Group's powerhouse vocals meet expert production (Fred Shaw, Joshua Cooke, and Elijah Bradford) and skillful songwriting, to make Book of Remembrance...the Live Experience a winner.

The album opens with the high-energy praise & worship “Attribute Praise.” The band hits are absolutely infectious, punctuated by Elijah scatting and soaring like only he can.  The momentum continues with excellent production and performance on “Here To Stay,” which showcases Elijah's unique ability to drive a song.

The next cut, “He Brought Me Out” is  THE standout of this album. It’s the type of song that Elijah does, and does well. It’s where he shines brightest, and his performance along with Rashika Campbell Bracey is evidence of that. It also appears to be poised as their first single– good choice!

Other great tunes on the project include ”Celebration” and “Overflow,” as well as ”Fill My Cup/Just give Me Jesus,” which serves as a nice departure from the high energy and excitement of much of the other tracks on the album.  It’s a sweet and simple congregation-ready invitation for God to be among His people.

All in all, you will be more than pleased with this project. Again, it showcases Elijah Bradford and Purpose Driven at their best, in their element. It’s worth adding to your collection, and you're bound to bump it up to high “Purpose Driven rotation,” just under their debut album.

CD's and DVD's will be available that night after the release concert (CD-$12, DVD-$15, Both $25). Please support this group with your prayers, presence, and support. We the team at Coffee House Productions along with Elijah Bradford and Purpose Driven look forward to seeing your face in the place.

Josiah's Healing - December 12, 2010

josiah.jpg

Let's keep this little boy in prayer!

Born 71/2 weeks early, Josiah has stopped breathing twice. He has asthma, chronic dysfunctional outlet constipation, neutropenia (high risk for getting a deadly infection), seizures, genetic deformity of fingers and toes and a heart murmur.

Josiah has also endured a fungal esophagus infection, immune system disorder, tonsillitis, tear duct and eye infections and suffers from anxiety disorders. A patient of South Carolina's Medically Fragile Children's Program, Josiah has 18 primary care doctors, including a neurologist, pulmonologist, cardiologist, urologist, immunologist and pediatric surgeon.

Through it all, doctors still don't have a diagnosis, but they tell the family they believe there's an underlying medical problem that is the root cause of all these various health problems.

"No one has been able to tell us exactly what is going on with him," Teresa Wallace said. "We all know there is something wrong, but the doctors haven't been able to put a name to it yet."

The family is seeking approval to take Josiah to a hospital that specializes in the treatment of rare childhood diseases.

"They are working now to get him in an out-of-state hospital," Wallace said. "They are looking at the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota or Johns Hopkins in Baltimore. Through it all, Josiah keeps going. He's so full of life, such a good, sweet little boy."

Because Josiah needs constant care, Wallace had to quit her job as a technician at Tuomey Regional Medical Center and put on hold her education and plans to become a registered nurse.

William Wallace, a full-time employee at Carolina Furniture, has had to take on two additional part-time jobs.

The Wallaces are saving money to help defray the ongoing medical and travel expenses for their son.

Family and friends are doing their part. The Josiah Wallace Charity Fund has been established at the National Bank of South Carolina. Donations to the fund can be made at any NBSC branch.

Special Thanks Gospel 98.3 - December 10, 2010

We would like to thank Nate Stoney and the whole Gospel 98.3 family for playing our music and pushing the new project!!

Celebrate Black Music Month - June 17, 2010

June 7, 1979 President Jimmy Carter decreed that June would be the month of black music. Black Music Month is highlighted with various events urging citizens to recognize the contribution of America’s Black Music artist. June is a time to collectively revel in the many forms of music from gospel to hip-hop. African-American musicians, singers. Celebrate the music and entertained by the sound.

I want to personally honor some of the BLACK artist that have inspired me like; Dorothy Love Coates, Maggie Ingram, The Davis Sisters, Claude Jeter, Dixie Hummingbirds, Nat King Cole, Sam Cooke, Pearl Bailey, Mahalia Jackson, Ray Charles, Stevie Wonder, the Winans, Andrae Crouch, Rev. Cleophus Robinson, Brother Joe May, Men of Standard, John P. Kee, Billie Holliday, Ella Fizgerald, and so many others. Thank you for paving the way for me and being the great examples you have been.

Final Stages - June 17, 2010

I'm proud to announce that we are in the final stages of production on this new cd. I'm excited and nervous at the same time because I chose to go a different way this time. I can't wait to share this anointed music with you. The first album we did allowed us to find our niche. I think we're getting so close. As an artist you are forever growing and GOD keeps revealing different aspects of who your are. Please continue to pray for us and support us when it is released.

September is Gospel Music Heritage Month - September 9, 2009

The Gospel Music Channel television network has joined with Senator Blanche L. Lincoln (D-Ark.), Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison (R-Texas), Senator Patrick Leahy (D-Vt.), Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee (D-Texas), Congresswoman Mary Bono Mack (R-Calif.), and The Recording Academy® to launch the "Gospel Music Heritage Month" initiative. The legislation in the House of Representatives (H.Con. Res. 370) and the Senate (S. Res. 595) designates September 2008 as "Gospel Music Heritage Month," honoring gospel music for its valuable long-standing contributions to American culture. The initiative was created by the Gospel Music Channel, the country's first and only 24/7 television network devoted to all forms of Gospel/Christian music. The initiative was publicly unveiled at The Recording Academy's GRAMMY®s on the Hill event at the U.S. Capitol on June 18.

“Gospel Music is a cornerstone of the American musical tradition and has grown beyond its established audience to achieve pop-culture and historical relevance across the globe,” said Lincoln. “My home state of Arkansas has a rich history in gospel music and I am proud to honor this tradition that has touched audiences around the world.”

"In addition to its contribution to American music, gospel music has provided the cultural and musical backdrop across all of mainstream media, including art, books, television and motion pictures. It is infused in the DNA of our entire society and a month to recognize its importance and vast contributions to our country is long overdue," commented Hutchison.

"Gospel music is an important American legacy and continues to play a significant role of the lives of millions. It is appropriate to honor the countless contributions Gospel music has made to our society," said Leahy.

"Gospel music is an historical American art form that has spanned hundreds of generations and both inspires and entertains across racial, ethnic, religious, and geographic boundaries. We must officially recognize the great contributions to American culture that have derived from the rich heritage of gospel music and its artists," said Jackson-Lee.

"By surpassing culturally constructed boundaries, gospel music has emerged as the musical thread uniting the fabric of America and is more popular than ever. It is important that we recognize and celebrate the vital role that gospel music and all its many styles have played in shaping music history," commented Bono Mack.

"This is the opportunity for the millions of gospel/Christian music fans to have their own national month to honor and celebrate the rich heritage of their music," said Charles Humbard, Founder and President of the Gospel Music Channel. "We thank Senators Lincoln, Hutchison and Leahy, and Representatives Jackson-Lee and Bono Mack, for their efforts and The Recording Academy for its partnership. We look forward to celebrating 'Gospel Music Heritage Month' in September."

"A key mission of The Recording Academy is recognizing musical excellence, advocating for the well-being of music makers and ensuring music remains an indelible part of our culture," said Neil Portnow, President/CEO of The Recording Academy. "To have gospel music nationally recognized in the month of September pays great homage to this influential and inspirational genre. It's an honor to make this announcement at our GRAMMYs on the Hill event in our nation's capital."
